Save the Internet

Normally I am pretty apathetic about taking interest in government policies, but that is really starting to change for me as the Presidential election is drawing closer. I am making it a point to start caring about what new policies and laws are being voted on or discussed, especially when it directly effects the future of my career. Please take a couple minutes and watch this video that I’ve posted. It talks about the issue of net neutrality and how big name telecommunication companies are trying to restrict the publics’ Internet usage in order to turn bigger profits for their business. This would not only make us have to pay more to use the Internet, but it would also limit our freedom to go to any website on the web. Instead we would only be able to access sites that are approved by the service providers that we would shell out our paychecks to.

Anyways, watch the video and then take some time to go to savetheinternet.com. They have links to contact your congress representative and other petitions and such.
