The Five Greatest Internet Phenoms (…at least for me)
At the age of 22, I am actually old enough to remember the exact moment that I was introduced to the wonderful World Wide Web. I remember holding the floppy disc in my hand. On the front it read “America Online: Try a 90 day trial RISK FREE”
My mom and I installed it on our state of the art Compaq PC (512mb hard drive space), and before we knew it, our phone line was tied and we were listening to the sweet sounds of the dial-up followed by a friendly “Welcome!”.
The rest is history.
Well in my 13 year experience with the Internet, I have come across a lot of pictures, websites, and videos that were a waste of my time and have done absolutely nothing to effect who I am today. Here is a list of the top five Internet phenoms that everyone should see at least once.
#5 Aicha
I don’t remember this being so weird and creepy, but I do remember showing it to a bunch of people for a good laugh.
#4 Peanut Butter Jelly Time!!!
Just try not to laugh…
#3 The Numa Numa Video
This guy had national news stations coming to his house because of how many views his smash hit web cam video had received. Only on the Internet can something this dumb be so awesome.
#2 Star Wars Kid
I’ll admit it right here and now, I’ve never felt sorry for the guy. I also laugh every time he slips on the yellow sheet.
Feww Feww Feww Feww!!
#1 Leeeeeeeeeroy!
This is one of my personal favorites. You don’t have to be an avid Warcraft player to appreciate this level of “nerd-dom”.
Honorary mention: The Hamster Dance website

I don’t guess I’d ever noticed that Star Wars kid is using a golf ball grabber.
There she go again…
I always thought you were using the world wide web for studying….
And… I wonder if the Dr. Pepper Salesman video could make it on here… or the video of the boys jumping on their parent’s couch without permission!! (Still hostile about that one!)
