Making the Video
Last Monday, Clairmont had the distinct privilege of working with B.K. Garceau III to make our very first music video. We began filming at 11a.m. and didn’t wrap it up until 3:30 the next morning.
It was exhausting, but one of the most fun things I’ve ever done, and aside from recording our albums, it was probably one of the most legit “rock star” things we’ve ever done as well.
This wasn’t just a hand held Sony video camera with a bunch of people goofing around. There was a small crew that set up professional lighting, a full script and layout for every shot and camera angle, and the camera that was used filmed everything in glorious high definition.
I’m not going to reveal anything too specific as far as the story goes, because that would ruin the surprise, but I do want to share a few photos that B.K. and I were able to take on set during the shooting.
First off, we shot in four separate locations: a warehouse, a living room, a suspension bridge, and a backyard. Each member of Clairmont had our own individual location, and then we all had a group location down in the warehouse. (the full band shot if you will)
The actors/actresses did most of their shooting over the weekend, and I’m not sure exactly where all their scenes were done.

The cast and crew!
From left to right: Michael Steele (me), Ben Love, Sandon Smith, Josh Taylor, B.K. Garceau III, Ashley Smith, Katy Rowe, and Tyler Ellis.
All the filming was completely done after we finished up early Tuesday morning, so all that is left to do is editing and any post work that B.K. wants to do.
Hopefully we’ll have the video for you soon!

This looks so ridiculously cool. Can’t wait to see the video.
Also, when does BK need me to be there for my shots? I guess he just wanted to do mine later or something. Man, this is so exciting for us.
Don’t worry about it man. We actually decided to cut the obsessed fan scene.
Dood, that is freakin hilarious, LOL! Seriously, though.
